If you are an Apple enthusiast at all you know that on a weekly basis you will a barrage of Apple rumors. Pretty much any new technology seems to be up for grabs on the rumor sites. With that being said some of the rumors tend to be spot on, especially near Macworld. Here are my predictions for the Steve-note. We can see how I do as Macworld is tomorrow.

First Steve will talk about market share, and how well all of their products are doing. This is a typical nod to all of the shareholders.

Steve will announce iTunes movie rentals. Not a big surprise as it has been rumored for some time now. Will there finally be an HD announcement? My take is: they should as everyone is getting into HD, but my guess is they wont. We will have wait and see.

With the iTunes announcement comes some updates to the Apple TV. I still think this device is really great, but it needs more feature before I hand over my money. I think there will be a firmware update that will add loads of functionality, or maybe even talks of a version 2. I personally would love to see DVR functionality.

The rumblings have been going on forever. Yes the ultra portable mac will be announced. I can hear Merlin Mann scream out for joy. The rumor sites claim to have more apparent deatils about the device. It is supposedly to be called the MacBook Air. Seems kind of like a weak name to me. From what I’ve seen it will be a much smaller MacBook. Personally I am hoping for what Andy Ihnatko calls his ultra portable. I would love to see something that looked like an iPhone but much bigger. It would be all touchscreen, but when your not on the go you could dock it and even add a keyboard and mouse. It would run a mobile version of OSX with way more features than the iPhone. Well a boy can wish can’t he. Either way the ultra portal mac is here.

The iPhone of course. Well firmware update 1.1.3 will be released. Better not upgrade if you have a jailbroken iPhone. Trust me, I know from experience. Steve will talk about all of the new features 1.1.3 will bring. The big question will be, will he talk about a version 2. I highly doubt he will as they want to capitalize as much as possible on version 1 before touting version 2. I think an announcement will be made at WWDC. Also there will be further details surrounding an official SDK for the iPhone.

That pretty much it, except for the “one more thing”. Maybe a Blu-Ray announcement or perhaps Apple will finally announce their Flux Capacitor. I can’t wait to take my iPhone to the 1800’s. Happy Macworld everybody. Check back in a could of days to see if I was right.
